Summary Analysis of “Animal Conservation”
In this article called “Animal Conservation” by John Kuti, it talks about animal poaching and animal conservation that has opened our eyes to a serious environmental problem that has been happening in our world today. In this article it states the facts and opinions about what is happening with people killing animals for fun and illegally. It talks about how in the last 400 years, the number of animals and plants becoming extinct has reached crisis point. Human population levels have risen dramatically and man's predatory instincts combined with his ruthless consumption of natural resources are directly responsible for the situation. This is a very serious problem happening to the environment. Many animals remain threatened with extinction because of human activity. The article describes The World Wildlife Fund (WWF) works tirelessly to raise awareness of the predicament facing these animals and find ways to protect them. The WWF is actively involved in many areas of the world fighting to protect the natural habitats of endangered animals from further damage and curb the activities of poachers.
Many animals have become extinct because of human consumption and wastefulness. The article states that we should have more restrictions on hunting and more laws against illegally killing animals. Animals population does need to be controlled to some point but there are people out there that are just killing for the fun of it and almost killing off an entire species. We have seen people killing animals for fun and people have been just ignoring it. Some people have been caught poaching and were punished but a lot have not and continue to do it.
This article does a wonderful job of describing what extinction is and talks about some endangered animals that could become extinct if the killing continues. It also describes people going hunting and killing more than they should and the fact that they are not killing the animals to eat or to help the population, they are killing animals for fun and just wasting the animals after they shoot them. The article, which was written last month, has been talked about and read by many viewers and they have written to the author with their opinions on the subject. John has some strong views on the subject and people are talking about it, which is the first step to realizing the problem.
